In 1966, funnyman Don Knotts of "The Andy Griffith Show" fame made his big-screen splash with this creepy comedy classic about a smalltown newspaper reporter whose latest scoop leads to murder and mayhem in a haunted house.

The success of the film was due in no small part to composer Mizzy, who used Knott's knee-jerk antics to create this spooky, unforgettable comedic score that later became universally known as the "Don Knotts Sound" and accompanied four more comic gems -- THE RELUCTANT ASTRONAUT (also coming from Percepto), THE SHAKIEST GUN IN THE WEST, HOW TO FRAME A FIGG and THE LOVE GOD?.
