the much-heralded 1979 ghost story starring George C. Scott, Trish Van
DeVere and Melvyn Douglas. Long before THE SIXTH SENSE and THE OTHERS,
there was this haunting score showcasing the efforts of three noted composers
-- Rick Wilkins, Ken Wannberg and Howard Blake who teamed up to deliver
one of the genre's most effective genre scores. This CD contains 73 minutes
of music, including over 15 minutes of alternate tracks not heard in the
finished film. The deluxe booklet features liner notes by film music historian
Randall Larson, plus a special afterword by Alejandro Amenabar, the writer/director/composer
of the supernatural blockbuster THE OTHERS starring Nicole Kidman.
