Best known for his 1982 score for THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER, Rowland continues his trademark gift of writing beautiful, sweeping themes with these two exceptional scores, both issued here for the first time on CD!
Released in 1983, PHAR LAP chronicled the stirring true story of the renowned champion New Zealand-born race horse who suddenly and mysteriously died in 1933 in America. The film starred Tom Burlinson of SNOWY RIVER fame and went on to blockbuster grosses during its lengthy run in Australia.
ZEUS AND ROXANNE (1997) is another animal-themed favorite, this time following the adventures of a lovable canine and a dolphin with Steve Guttenberg and Kathleen Quinlan starring. This charming score reunites the composer with SNOWY RIVER director GEORGE MILLER.
